The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) is a government scheme that helps homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their homes. If your home has an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E or lower, you may be eligible for free energy efficiency upgrades.

Qualifying Criteria:
Must be Non Mains Gas
To qualify for the ECO 4 grant scheme, your home must be heated by non-mains gas sources. This includes properties that rely on LPG, Solid fuel, Oil, or Electric heating systems. Mains Gas homes are not eligible.
EPC Rating of E or Lower
Another important qualifying factor for the ECO 4 grant scheme is having an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E or lower. If your home's EPC rating falls into this category, you could qualify.
Household Income
A gross household income below £31,000 per year, or if an occupant has: a respiratory illness (e.g. asthma, COPD); heart or cardiovascular disease; limited mobility; or is immunosuppressed (e.g. MS, Lupus, Type 1 Diabetes, cancer treatment).
Qualifying Benefits
Qualifying government benefits. These include Universal Credits, Tax Credits, Pension Credits, Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Income Support, Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), Housing Benefit, or Child Benefit.
