Who will own my data once I submit it?
Ignite Sustainable Energy Ltd Limited for the purpose of checking eligibility to the scheme, completing Declaration forms and liaising with Cheshire West and Chester council and energy companies following the installation of measures.

Why do we need your information?
Your information will be used to assess if your household meets the eligibility criteria for the scheme.
Eligible households’ information will be used to enable a survey of the home to take place and for works to be carried out.

What allows you to use my information?
By providing your information you consent to Ignite Sustainable Energy Ltd using your information for the purpose of checking eligibility and the installation of measures if eligible.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and will be removed from the scheme.

Who will my information be shared with?
Eligible households’ information will be shared with:

  • Cheshire West and Chester Council when seeking confirmation of eligibility
  • The nominated installer of the proposed energy efficiency measure
  • The relevant energy company for funding following the installation of a measure.

Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don’t?
In order to be considered for energy efficient measures, each household must have an eligibility check carried out. This is to ensure that only eligible households receive energy efficient measures. Households unwilling to provide the necessary documentation to illustrate their eligibility will unfortunately not be able to participate in the scheme.

How long will you keep this data for and why?
Personal information will be held for 3 years as per guidance for the scheme from the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). This is to help facilitate internal monitoring of the scheme and to inform annual reports to be submitted to BEIS.

How will my information be stored?
We will electronically store data relevant to the installation of measures. Access to this is limited to staff from Ignite Sustainable Energy Ltd and the nominated installer of the energy efficiency measure who are involved in the delivery of insulation measures into resident’s properties.

What rights do I have when it comes to my data?
You have the right under the Data Protection Act 1998 (General Data Protection Regulation) to request a copy of your information and to know what it is used for and how it has been shared. This is called the right of subject access.
